Mum and I had a lovely walk along the canal path in Stone. It was a dry, coolish day, but at least the sun was shining upon us!
We were very fortunate, when we arrived, to witness a long boat going through the lock, right next to the Star Inn pub. We then followed the long boat part way along the canal.
While watching and waiting for the boat to go through the lock we also had a bit of a chat to the owners. They were living on the long boat for a year as they were both retired. That there was a bath on board and that it was cosier than living in a home. I would love to live on a canal boat for a period of time! It would be a very relaxing adventure.
The boat was all decked with Christmas decorations.... reindeer on the roof and Christmas tree on the front of the boat. Very festive.
